Insurance agents accused of defrauding elderly victim
Two insurance agents are facing multiple felony charges for allegedly stealing more than $1.1 million from an elderly client, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has announced.
Clement Lancelot Chichester, 69, and his wife, Brittney Jade Sias, 57, also known as Rosalie Sias, are charged with one count of theft from an elder, one count of forgery for public record and two counts of forgery by passing a forged document. Chichester is also charged with two counts of passing a insufficient funds check exceeding $950, and 22 counts of making untrue statements or omission of material fact in sale of securities.
The alleged victim is 91 years old. Chichester was the victim’s insurance agent and financial adviser, and Sias assisted him in the business, which was located in West Los Angeles. Anyone who believes they may also be a victim is asked to call (661)253-7500.
