National Doughnut Day
Legend has it that the Salvation Army started National Doughnut Day on June 6 in 1938 to honor the men and women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. At Sixth St. Tavern part of the ACME Bar Group, they are offering maple-glazed donuts and buttermilk-fried chicken. It’s served with a Tapatio whipped cream. The Great LA Doughnut Tour

Chef Josette is serving a new type of doughnut known as a croissant doughnut during Normandie Bakery’s celebration of National Doughnut Day at the Original Farmers Market.
