The city of Beverly Hills has awarded nearly $2 million in grants or in-kind funds to 22 agencies that submitted applications for the Community Assistance Grant Fund program for fiscal year 2021-22.
The funds are allocated by the city and administered by the Human Services Division. Recipients were selected from CAGF applications made available online by Beverly Hills.
Agencies funded through the program provide social services to some of the most vulnerable members of the community including homeless individuals, older adults, disabled individuals and low-income residents. The fund also provides grants to support arts and cultural organizations that are considered vital to the creative expression and cultural preservation of the community.
With the funding, the city established a social services continuum of care that acts as a safety net, improves coordination across providers, increases access and availability of services to community members and supports quality of life.
The agencies that received funding include Affordable Living for the Aging, All Saints’ Homeless Assistance, Bet Tzedek Legal Services, Beverly Hills Active Adult Club, Beverly Hills CPR, Beverly Hills Education Foundation, Chiron Center Inc., Collins & Katz Family YMCA, ETTA, Jewish Family Service, Jewish Free Loan and the Miracle Project.
