Beverly Hills City Councilwoman Sharona Nazarian was given the key to the city of Herzliya, Israel, after meeting with mayor Moshe Fadlon. Herzliya is a sister city to Beverly Hills, a partnership that Nazarian helped create when she served as president of the Sister Cities Committee.

During her meeting with Fadlon, Nazarian said the two leaders discussed plans for the future.

“We live in a global world and must think outside the box,” Nazarian said. “It’s important to collaborate with our partners both local and international to strategize and come up with innovative and creative solutions to issues that affect us all, such as safety and water conservation.”
