The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station has discontinued providing the information contained in the weekly police blotter, and has directed people to the website, www.crimereports.com, for listings of the date, time and location of incidents within the city.
Lt. Lawrence Del Mese, with the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station, said the police blotter was discontinued because it did not reflect the total number of crimes being reported. Del Mese said the blotter was compiled by a volunteer at the station who listed only some of the incidents occurring. The website now has all the crimes reported in the city.
Users of www.crimere-ports.com can enter a zip code to look for crimes reported in specific areas. The website also includes the location of registered sex offenders.
The Los Angeles Police Department also provides crime reports on the website that can be accessed by zip code.
