Two rookie patrol officers with the Beverly Hills Police Department have been credited with saving a motorist’s life after they responded to a collision at 50 N. La Cienega Blvd. on Oct. 6.
The motorist collided with a tree and a parking meter at the location at approximately 8 a.m. The 45-year-old driver was unconscious and in full cardiac arrest when officers arrived. They removed the victim from his vehicle and began CPR. The officers also deployed an automated external defibrillator, which delivered a shock that helped the victim regain a pulse. His breathing stabilized a short time later.
The unidentified victim was transported to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he was still recovering as of Tuesday.
