Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives are searching for three masked suspects after a man was shot outside a West Hollywood clothing store on Oct. 1.

LASD Sgt. Brian Judge said deputies responded at approximately 5:30 p.m. to the 8700 block of Holloway Drive after receiving a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon involving a gunshot victim.

Deputies arrived and found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

The suspects were described as three adult men of average build wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black pants and black shoes. All three were wearing face masks, Judge said. They were last seen traveling eastbound on Holloway Drive in a silver vehicle.

Surveillance footage obtained by media outlets showed the victim standing outside Fugazi, a clothing and footwear store on Holloway Drive, when three masked individuals approached and surrounded him. One of the suspects appeared to fire a gun before the group fled in a waiting vehicle, according to media reports.

Video from the scene showed the victim inside Fugazi after being shot. Additional footage appeared to show a bullet hole in a window of the store.

A witness told NBC Los Angeles that the suspects’ vehicle struck a Ferrari as they fled the area before continuing east on Holloway Drive.

Media reports described the incident as an apparent robbery. Judge said on Oct. 2 that he could not confirm whether robbery was the motive.

NBC Los Angeles reported Thursday night that the victim was expected to recover. Judge said on Oct. 2 that he did not have updated information regarding the man’s condition.

The shooting occurred just south of the Sunset Strip near the intersection of Holloway Drive and Hancock Avenue.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station detectives at (310) 855-8850.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
