The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles “digs up the dirt” on Hollywood’s history – and several of its scandals – during a walking tour of the 127-year-old Hollywood Forever Cemetery, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd.
Visit the gravesites of early Hollywood luminaries and Los Angeles pioneers, and hear their fascinating tales from historians and living history performances. Guided walking tours will depart from the parking lot behind the Cathedral Mausoleum (in the southeast corner of the cemetery) every 20 minutes from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
Featured on the tour are those who mapped Hollywood including Col. Griffith J. Griffith and Hollywood founder Harvey Wilcox, and those who put Hollywood on the map such as heartthrob Rudolph Valentino, matinee idol Douglas Fairbanks Jr., actress and filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, screen siren Barbara La Marr, slain director William Desmond Taylor, glamour ghoul Vampira and approximately 20 additional legendary Angelenos.
The tour is $30 ($35 cash at the door) for general admission and $22 ($25 cash at the door) for ADSLA members. To purchase tickets, visit artdecola.org/events-calendar/hollywoodforeverwalkingtour-2026.
