West Hollywood invites community members to the Hollywood Food Coalition “Smash Hunger: Pickle For Good” fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8 a.m.-noon at the West Hollywood Park Tennis and Pickleball Courts, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. The community-centered event is organized in partnership with Tennacity.
The Hollywood Food Coalition benefit raises funds for its food recovery and meal distribution programs, which serve food-insecure individuals in West Hollywood and Los Angeles. The event is aimed at engaging and encouraging community members to participate in a health-centric activity while raising awareness about food waste and the hunger crisis. The event is free to attend and open to the public. A fee is required to participate. Those interested in participating may purchase tickets toward donation at givebutter.com/smashhunger26.
The Hollywood Food Coalition, a community-based organization, is committed to providing meal, food distribution and support services that promote food equity. The organization’s mission is to nourish the community by rescuing and distributing food, preparing meals and helping those in need to achieve food equity.
