Colombian Canadian artist Lido Pimienta and Dominican Italian singer YEИDRY will perform at The Ford on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. in “Pan-American Sounds,” a concert drawing on Caribbean, Latin American and global musical influences.

Pimienta will perform music from her latest project, “La Belleza Caribenya,” which incorporates orchestral arrangements, electronic music, choral elements and Afro-Caribbean influences. Her work is informed by her Afro-Indigenous Wayuu heritage and Colombia’s Caribbean coast, with themes including culture, diaspora and identity.

YEИDRY, who has lived in Santo Domingo, Turin and Los Angeles, incorporates Latin, Caribbean and European influences into her R&B and other musical styles. Her work explores migration, family and memory.

The performance comes one day after the Sept. 18 release of YEИDRY’s debut album, “Como Agua.” She has previously collaborated with J Balvin, Damian Marley, Bomba Estéreo and Emotional Oranges.
