Little Dom’s will partner with Los Angeles whiskey brand Sin Hielo for an Italian taco pop-up and fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 12, from noon-3 p.m. at the restaurant’s deli and sidewalk patio.
The event will raise funds for L.A. Taco, an independent publication covering food, culture, art and communities in Los Angeles, and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, or CHIRLA, an immigrant rights organization.
Little Dom’s will donate 10% of proceeds from the event to L.A. Taco. Sin Hielo will donate 30% of profits from whiskey sales to CHIRLA. Proceeds from limited-edition merchandise will be divided equally between the two organizations.
Chef Brandon Boudet will serve three Italian-inspired tacos, available individually for $10 or three for $28. The porchetta taco features pickled fennel and salsa verde on a Kernel of Truth organic blue corn tortilla. A swordfish ’nduja taco includes stracciatella, marinated kale and pine nut-mint salsa on a Kernel of Truth organic yellow corn tortilla. The Baja mushroom fritto misto taco is made with herbed cashew crema, marinated cabbage and Calabrese salsa macha on a Mejorado flour tortilla.
Sin Hielo cocktails will include a Boulevardier for $17 and highballs for $16. A Sin Hielo and Little Dom’s “La Resistenza” event flask will be available for $18.
Sin Hielo produces whiskey in Los Angeles and uses its events to raise money and awareness for local immigrant communities.
Reservations are not required for the Sept. 12 pop-up.
Little Dom’s is located at 2128 Hillhurst Ave.
