Twenty-seven Los Angeles Unified schools have been named among America’s Healthiest Schools for 2026, recognizing efforts to support the health and well-being of students, staff and families.
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation recognized 1,376 schools across 35 states and Washington, D.C., this year. The annual program recognizes schools for practices involving health services, nutrition and food access, physical education and activity, social-emotional health and learning, staff well-being and family and community engagement.
“We are incredibly proud of these 27 schools for going above and beyond to promote health and wellness in their communities,” Los Angeles Unified Super-intendent Andrés E. Chait said. “This honor reflects the high caliber of leadership and partnerships required to ensure that every student is healthy and ready to grow and thrive in school and beyond.”
