KA’TEEN, a coastal Mexican restaurant in Hollywood, will offer two specialty cocktails beginning Sept. 16 in recognition of Mexican Independence Day and Latino Heritage Month.
The restaurant, led by Los Angeles chef Wes Avila, specializes in dishes influenced by the cuisine of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula and prepared with local ingredients.
For the celebration, KA’TEEN will offer the “Acapulco Baby!,” made with Altos tequila, Cointreau, cacao, tamarind and lime. The “Cielito Lindo” combines Vida mezcal, prickly pear, serrano peppers and lime. Both cocktails are priced at $16.
Avila, a Los Angeles native, draws on his travels to the Yucatán Peninsula in developing KA’TEEN’s menu. The restaurant opened in December 2021 and features an open-air dining space in Hollywood.
KA’TEEN is located at 6516 Selma Ave.
