Immaculate Heart Middle and High School will open its Los Feliz campus to prospective students and families on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 1-4 p.m.
The annual All-School Open House offers families an opportunity to experience the Immaculate Heart campus firsthand, meet students and faculty and learn about the school’s distinctive approach to educating girls in grades 6-12.
As an independent Catholic school with a history dating to 1906, Immaculate Heart combines a rigorous academic program with opportunities for students to explore their interests, develop their voices and engage meaningfully with the community and world around them. From the classroom to the arts, athletics, leadership and service, students are encouraged to approach education with curiosity, courage and a great heart.
“Open House is one of our favorite opportunities to welcome families onto campus and give them a genuine sense of what it means to be an Immaculate Heart student,” said Immaculate Heart President Maureen Diekmann, class of 1969. “We want prospective families to see our students in action, meet the people who make our school special and discover the many ways an Immaculate Heart education can help a young woman find her voice and grow in confidence.”
Immaculate Heart Middle School, serving grades 6-8, provides a strong foundation in core academics while placing an emphasis on students’ social and emotional growth. Immaculate Heart High School students experience a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum to encourage them to question, explore and pursue individual interests.
Prospective students and families can tour the school’s campus near Griffith Park, visit classrooms and academic spaces and learn about the wide range of programs and opportunities available to students. Current students will also share experiences and perspectives.
Immaculate Heart welcomes families considering the full seven-year journey from sixth through 12th grade, as well as those interested in joining the school community in ninth grade for high school. Immaculate Heart Middle and High School is located at 5515 Franklin Ave. Registration is not required but encouraged.
