Hollyhock House presents “Milano Chow: Fantasy Street” and “Deborah Turbeville: The Lifted Veil” from Thursday, Sept. 10, through Sunday, Dec. 20. “Fantasy Street” features new works on paper by Chow, who searched the photo archives of the Los Angeles Public Library, drawing on images of movie palaces, shop windows and apartment buildings contemporaneous with the construction of Hollyhock House to conjure an invented cast of buildings. Chow also curated “The Lifted Veil,” an exhibition of photographs by Turbeville (1932-2013), who is widely recognized for work in fashion publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. Hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday–Saturday. 4800 Hollywood Blvd. hollyhockhouse.org/on-view.
