Little Dom’s revives Sunday Supper
Little Dom’s will mark the 21st anniversary of its Sunday Supper tradition on Sunday, Aug. 16, with a one-night revival of the original three-course meal at its Los Feliz restaurant and Little Dom’s Seafood in Carpinteria.
The supper traces its roots to Dominick’s, the longtime West Hollywood restaurant where the founders of Little Dom’s introduced Sunday Supper in August 2005. Conceived as an affordable dinner for neighbors and regular customers, the tradition continued after Dominick’s closed following a 67-year run.
Little Dom’s later carried the concept forward with its weekly Monday Supper, while Little Dom’s Seafood offers a Tuesday Supper. The restaurants’ current weekly suppers feature three courses for $28, along with $25 bottles of wine and $4 beers.
For the Aug. 16 anniversary, the restaurants will recreate the original Sunday Supper menu served 21 years ago and offer the three-course meal for $21.
The menu includes a green salad with tomatoes, cucumbers and red wine vinaigrette; beef braciole with roasted summer squash; and a gelato sundae.
The anniversary dinner provides an opportunity to revisit a tradition that began at a longtime West Hollywood dining establishment and has continued at Little Dom’s restaurants. Reservations are recommended.
