LAPD Wilshire Division senior lead officers and burglary detectives will meet with community members during an Ice Cream with a Cop event on Thursday, Aug. 13, at Salt & Straw on Larchmont Boulevard. The event will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The event gives residents an opportunity to meet officers assigned to the area, ask questions and discuss concerns, including crime and public safety.

Wilshire Division officers will be available to speak directly with residents in an informal setting while attendees enjoy ice cream. Organizers said the event is intended to strengthen communication between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they serve.

The event is open to the public. Salt & Straw is located at 240 N. Larchmont Blvd.
