American Cinematheque is showing the 2000 film “Erin Brockovich” on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Los Feliz Theatre. Julia Roberts stars as Brockovich, a sassy single mother and law office worker who becomes obsessed with a case involving a California utility company that is accused of polluting the drinking water in a small town. She puts everything into fighting the corporation. The film is preceded by “Guided Muscle,” a 1955 Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoon directed by Chuck Jones and starring Wile E.
