BIG Outdoor and the city of West Hollywood have announced the opening of the SunCienega Success Lab, a business and entrepreneurship workspace at 8501 Sunset Blvd.

The facility provides free professional workspace for local entrepreneurs and qualifying small businesses including startups, nonprofits, minority-owned businesses and women-owned businesses. The program is designed to support three West Hollywood businesses annually through an application process that began earlier this year.

The Success Lab includes six workstations in three shared offices, along with a conference room and lounge space intended to encourage collaboration and networking. The facility will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

“The SunCienega Success Lab represents what’s possible when the private and public sectors come together around a shared vision,” said Brad Berkley, chief executive officer of BIG Outdoor. “We didn’t simply redevelop a building – we created a place where entrepreneurs, creators and small businesses can grow, collaborate and succeed.”

The building at 8501 Sunset Blvd. was formerly one of the Sunset Strip’s longest-vacant properties before being redeveloped into the new business hub.
