Du-par’s Restaurant and Bakery is celebrating its 88th anniversary with a special one-day-only Anniversary Menu on Wednesday, July 15.

Customers of the classic restaurant, located at the Original Farmers Market, corner of Third and Fairfax, will enjoy specials priced at $8.88 in honor of the founding of Du-par’s in 1938. Generations have enjoyed the restaurant and bakery’s fare, including the world famous hotcakes and scrumptious pies. Du-par’s owner Frances Tario said she is thankful for the community’s support over the years and invites everyone to visit the restaurant and celebrate the anniversary.

“We are incredibly excited to celebrate this milestone. Reaching our 88th anniversary is something we are very proud of, especially in an industry that presents new challenges every day. There were times when we wondered if we would make it to this moment, which makes this celebration even more meaningful for our team, our guests and our community,” Tario said. “For 88 years, Du-Par’s has been committed to welcoming generations of patrons with great food, warm hospitality and a timeless dining experience. We are honored to continue that tradition and look forward to celebrating with everyone as we work toward our 90th anniversary and beyond.”

The special Anniversary Menu – available all day on July 15 for dine-in customers only – includes the Breakfast Classic with two buttermilk hotcakes served with Du-par’s’ signature clarified butter and warm maple syrup, plus choice of turkey links or crispy bacon; the Lunch/Dinner Favorite with the restaurant’s hand-formed hamburger served with a side of crispy fries; and the Sweet Treat, which includes a slice of Du-Par’s’ scratch-baked pie and a premium cup of coffee. Each of the special menu items is $8.88 on July 15.
