The Beverly Hills Police Department on June 11 arrested a suspect connected to several recent burglaries committed in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, the department announced on June 30.

According to the department, the suspect was linked to nine commercial burglaries resulting in total losses exceeding $20,000.

“BHPD detectives determined the suspect forced entry into businesses, stole property from inside and later sold the stolen items for profit,” the department wrote in a statement.

The department said the items stolen included money, computers and accessories.

The suspect, 51-year-old James Williams, faces nine counts of second-degree burglary. Charges have been filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
