Work is ongoing in late June around the subway stations on Metro’s D Line Extension Project, with construction at street level and underground.

Near Wilshire/La Cienega, street restoration continues on the north and south sides of Wilshire Boulevard between Stanley Drive and San Vicente Boulevard. Curb ramps are being replaced at Wilshire/Stanley and Wilshire/Le Doux. Curb ramps at 8484 Wilshire Blvd. may also be replaced in late June with current code-compliant ramps. Lane closures may be implemented on Wilshire Boulevard around the work sites.

Instrumentation removal, utility work and street maintenance is also ongoing in late June along Wilshire Boulevard between Stanley Drive and San Vicente Boulevard. Intermittent lane closures, turn restrictions and sidewalk closures will be implemented on La Cienega and Wilshire boulevards, as well as side streets. Tower, Gale and Hamilton drives may be temporarily closed at Wilshire Boulevard.

At the Beverly Drive Station, K-rail enclosures remain in place along Wilshire Boulevard between Beverly and Crescent drives. Crews are working on the underground station and appendages, which are rooms and passageways connected to the main station.

Two lanes in each direction will be maintained along Wilshire Boulevard between Beverly and Crescent drives. Left turns will be restricted from westbound Wilshire Boulevard to Cañon Drive. Sidewalk closures may be in place on the north and south sides of Wilshire Boulevard between Beverly and Crescent drives.

Construction is also ongoing at the Century City Station. Through June 26, westbound lane closures will be implemented on Constellation Boulevard west of Avenue of the Stars to support ongoing utility work. Left turns and right turns onto Avenue of the Stars are maintained.

At the Westwood/UCLA Station, crews are constructing the final station entrance. Lane reductions on eastbound and westbound Wilshire Boulevard are in place between a point west of Veteran Avenue and Westwood Boulevard. Periodic lane reductions will be implemented on Veteran Avenue north and south of Wilshire Boulevard. Sidewalks may also be temporarily closed on Wilshire and Westwood boulevards.

Utility work and inspections continue on Westwood/VA Hospital Station. Work is ongoing on Wilshire Boulevard and in Westwood Village. Intermittent lane reductions and turn restrictions will be implemented on Wilshire Boulevard between Westwood Boulevard and Glendon Avenue.

Underground construction on the station continues within Lot 42 and a staging yard west of Bonsall Avenue. Crews are building the concrete station interior walls and roof. Current work includes steel bracing removal, waterproofing and the installation of reinforced steel, mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment.
