Two Beverly Hills High School students received Skill Point Certificates during the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, held June 1-5 in Atlanta.

Isabella Zahabian earned a Skill Point Certificate in Facilithon – Leadership in Facility Management, while Sara Orpelli was recognized in Restaurant Service.

Skill Point Certificates are awarded to competitors who meet a predetermined proficiency score in their respective events during the SkillsUSA Championships. The certificates recognize career readiness and may be included in employment portfolios.

To qualify for the national competition, students first had to win state-level events, demonstrating technical, workplace and leadership skills.

More than 7,000 students competed in the 2026 SkillsUSA Championships, the largest participation in the event’s history. The national competition featured state champions from middle school, high school and postsecondary programs competing in 115 career and leadership contests spanning fields such as robotics, automotive technology, drafting, criminal justice, aviation maintenance and public speaking.

“This showcase of career and technical education demonstrates SkillsUSA at its finest,” Skills USA Executive Director Chelle Travis said. “Our students, instructors and industry partners work together to ensure that every student excels.”
