With the opening of the first segment of the Metro’s D Line subway extension a little more than two weeks away on May 8, crews are completing street repairs around the subway stations.

Work is ongoing near the Wilshire/La Cienega station, which is the end of the line on the first segment of the new subway project. The first section also includes the Wilshire/La Brea and Wilshire/Fairfax subway stations. Section two of the subway extension project, which will have stations at Beverly Drive and Century City, is scheduled to open in spring 2027. Section three is scheduled to open in fall 2027 and will have stations at Westwood/UCLA and the VA Hospital.

Street restoration work is ongoing on Wilshire Boulevard at the intersection with La Cienega Boulevard. Work is also ongoing in late April at sites along the north and south sides of Wilshire Boulevard between Stanley Drive and San Vicente Boulevard. Curb ramps are being replaced at Wilshire/ Stanley and Wilshire/Le Doux, and at 8484 Wilshire Blvd. Surface demolition is also planned at 8383 Wilshire Blvd. To facilitate the work, Wilshire Boulevard may be reduced to one or two lanes.

Crews are also working at and around the Beverly Drive Station in Beverly Hills. Through June 17, crews will perform demolition, curb, gutter, driveway, underground electrical and sidewalk restoration work along the south side of Wilshire Boulevard from South Crescent Drive to South Cañon Drive. Work will be completed in segments requiring sidewalk and driveway closures to support construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to a temporary pathway adjacent to the existing sidewalk and access to business entrances will be maintained throughout the work.

Periodic closures of the Sixty Beverly Hills driveway are required for demolition, conduit installation, base material and concrete placement. During the work, access to the Sixty Beverly Hills garage will be provided through the alley entrance on South Cañon Drive.

At the Century City station, ongoing work includes deck removal. Constellation Boulevard is closed from Avenue of the Stars to Solar Way through May 3. Avenue of the Stars remains open in both directions to traffic.
