All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills has announced that the Vestry has unanimously selected the Rev. Dr. Andrew K. Barnett as the next rector.
“We are entering an exciting new chapter of shared ministry,” said Kevin Shrum, on behalf of the All Saints’ Vestry. “Andy embodies everything we were looking for – a gifted preacher, a relational leader and a priest deeply grounded in the Gospel. We are confident that God has a hopeful future in store for All Saints’.”
Barnett brings a rich and varied background to his new position. Since 2019, he has served as senior associate rector at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Atlanta, where he launched an evening worship service, developed and implemented newcomer ministry, supervised pastoral care and coordinated worship and music staff.
From 2016-19, he served as associate for music and worship at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. He also has roots in Los Angeles, having previously served at Campbell Hall Episcopal School as the Bishop’s Chair for Environmental Studies, where he developed an outdoor education program and established an annual service trip to Haiti.
Beyond parish ministry, Barnett is founding director of Theodicy Jazz Collective, recognized as one of the nation’s leading liturgical jazz ensembles. Barnett and his wife Morgan will make their first visit to All Saints’ Beverly Hills on May 23-24 for Pentecost Sunday, and his first Sunday as rector will be on June 28.
All Saints’ Episcopal Church invites the Episcopal community to join in prayer and celebration as the new chapter of ministry begins. All Saints’ Beverly Hills is located at 504 N. Camden Drive. For information, call (310)275-0123, or visit allsaintsbh.org.
