West Hollywood’s 2026 Winter Sounds free indoor concert series will light up the stage on select Saturdays from Jan. 24 through Feb. 21 at Live at the Sun Rose at the Sun Rose West Hollywood, 8430 Sunset Blvd. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concerts begin at 7 p.m.
The Winter Sounds Concert Series kicks off on Jan. 24 with Ghost-Note + Katalyst Collective. Headed by Snarky Puppy’s multi-Grammy-winning percussion duo of Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, Ghost-Note projects an explosion of sound with an expansive roster of musicians who have performed with Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Marcus Miller, Prince, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake and Toto. The band is pushing funk music into the future, building on the uplifting pioneering foundations laid out by artists such as James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone, and infusing a fresh take with afrobeat, hip-hop, psychedelia and world folklore.
Katalyst Collective is the brainchild of renowned drummer, composer and producer Greg Paul. Members have worked with many of the most iconic names in music including Roy Ayers, Beyoncé, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Solange Knowles and Usher. The nine-piece ensemble delivers an eclectic mix of experimental contemporary jazz that pushes the boundaries of the genre.
The next concert in the series on Feb. 7 will feature Mark de Clive-Lowe and Nanna.B. Genre-bending pianist, producer and composer de Clive-Lowe is known for fusing jazz with elements of electronica and live remixing. A longtime fixture in L.A.’s music scene, he has collaborated with Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Eric Harland Harvey Mason and Moodymann
Nanna.B is a Danish-born singer, songwriter and producer known for crafting genre-defying soundscapes that blend lush, atmospheric production with golden vocals and poetic storytelling. Her eclectic sound, rooted in pop, R&B, soul and electronic music, has drawn the attention of influential artists.
On Feb. 21, the Winter Sounds concert series finale will feature Nikka Costa and the Julian Forest Trio. Costa, daughter of legendary producer and arranger Don Costa, embodies the essence of music. With a series of critically acclaimed albums, beginning with the 2001 Virgin Records debut “Everybody Got Their Something,” Costa emerged as a luminary in the “nu-soul” landscape, known for a signature blend of American soul, funk and rock.
The Winter Sounds concert series is organized by the West Hollywood Arts Division. The concerts are free; guests must be 21 or older. RSVP is recommended. For information, visit weho.org /wintersounds.
