After a yearlong of search, the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has found its new president and CEO. After the long tenure of Geneieve Morrill, finding a replacement was a precarious task, as selecting the right person to balance the intricate relationships with West Hollywood’s diverse business portfolio certainly isn’t easy. But on Dec. 8, Leonard “Len” Lanzi was announced as Morrill’s replacement.
“I’m honored to be selected as the new president and CEO of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce,” Lanzi said. “I look forward to working with the business community, elected officials and their staff and other leaders in the city.”
Lanzi previously served as the director of the Preccelerator Program, an initiative to help start-up companies established by the Los Angeles-based law firm Stubbs Alderton & Markiles, LLC. He was the executive director the Los Angeles Venture Association and a board director for the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.
The search committee for the new chamber CEO included Sarah Adolphson, Rod Gruendyke, Joan Henehan, Mark Lehman and Raja Sannidhi.
“Len participated in a lengthy interview process with several long-standing and new board members who understand the chamber’s past and can visualize the future. As a forward-looking executive, we believe Len will carry the chamber into the future,” Sannidhi said.
“It is clear that Len’s career is rooted in strengthening local economies, supporting small business and connecting innovation with community impact,” Adolphson said.
Lanzi will start in the position on Jan. 12, 2026, at which point Morrill will wrap up 15 years in the role.
“He appears to have a commitment to serving the community and a great deal of experience. I look forward to working with him,” Vice Mayor John Heilman said. “The current head of the chamber, Genevieve has been such an important voice for our business community. She has been a great leader, partnering with the city to help our businesses survive during the pandemic. She will be incredibly missed. I know Mr. Lanzi has big shoes to fill, but I’m certain he’s up to the task.”
“He brings great experience and a real passion for supporting businesses, and I think that’s exactly what West Hollywood needs right now,” Councilman Danny Hang said. “This feels like the start of a fresh, collaborative chapter for the chamber. I’m looking forward to working with Len and the chamber board to support our small businesses, strengthen our local economy band keep WeHo vibrant and welcoming for everyone.”
“I’m thankful to the chamber’s search committee and look forward to learning more about their final selection,” Councilman John Erickson said. “I’m going to hold off on casting judgement until I get to know them more and understand their vision for the city and our incredible and unique business community.”

Typical Erickson lack of grace. His hostility to the chamber is still a petulant issue for him.
