On Dec. 11, acclaimed Japanese restaurant Robata JINYA will roll out the red carpet for the opening of its newest location in the heart of Hollywood. Located at 6529 Hollywood Blvd. near the iconic Capitol Records Building and historic Pantages Theatre along the Walk of Fame, the new outpost marks Robata JINYA’s second location in Los Angeles and its third in the United States. Beginning at 4 p.m. on opening day, guests will be welcomed with complimentary sake to begin their dining experience, during which they can enjoy the restaurant’s signature izakaya-style menu featuring handcrafted nigiri, Japanese small plates and smoky selections from the robata grill.
“We’re thrilled to open a third Robata JINYA in the heart of Hollywood,” said Tomo Takahashi, founder and CEO of JINYA Holdings, Inc. “Hollywood has such a rich history, and we’re proud to bring Robata JINYA into the community.”
Rooted in generations of robatayaki tradition, Robata JINYA’s menu reflects time-honored techniques, with a focus on the slow grilling of skewered meats and vegetables over binchotan charcoal. Each plate is assembled with precision and care, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and respect for Japanese culinary tradition and artistry. Guests can savor kushiyaki items such as A5 Miyazaki Wagyu imported from Japan, free-range chicken, lamb chops and fresh fish flown directly from Toyosu, Japan. Highlighting Robata JINYA’s dedication to craftsmanship and authentic flavor, the menu also features the restaurant’s signature shrimp toast and organic house-made tofu prepared right in front of guests. The experience is rounded out with a curated beverage program featuring a full bar with craft cocktails and Japanese whiskey.
Robata JINYA Hollywood’s interior design draws from the original concept established in Japan, blending culturally engrained design with a modern dining atmosphere. Offering multiple experiences within one destination, the 95-seat space invites guests to explore four distinct dining scenes — an open kitchen showcasing the chefs in action, an intimate sushi counter for omakase where guests can watch the chef’s artistry up close, a full bar and an indoor patio dining area.
