West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a 42-year-old man on Oct. 21 for allegedly assaulting two minors and are seeking any additional victims.

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau said the suspect, Elmer Mercado, followed two juveniles as they walked in the 1000 block of Havenhurst Drive and assaulted them. Mercado was taken into custody and is being held in the Men’s Central Jail on $100,000 bail. On Oct. 23, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged Mercado with two misdemeanor counts of committing lascivious acts on a minor and annoying and molesting a minor.
