Crews are working at and around Metro subway station sites in early September along the D Line Extension project.

New stations at Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Cienega are being completed ahead of the anticipated opening of the subway line’s first segment in late 2025. Streetscape improvements continue along Wilshire Boulevard in Wilshire Center and the Miracle Mile, and on Wilshire Boulevard between San Vicente and La Cienega boulevards in Beverly Hills.

From Saturday, Sept. 6 at 5 a.m. through Monday, Sept. 8, at 6 a.m., Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Rossmore Avenue and June Street. Southbound traffic on Rimpau Boulevard, north of Wilshire Boulevard, will also be closed. The work supports permanent asphalt paving in the Wilshire/Rimpau intersection.

A K-rail work zone remains in place on the south side of Wilshire Boulevard east of La Cienega Boulevard, and temporary road closures are being implemented on South Hamilton and South Tower drives. Two lanes remain open in each direction on Wilshire Boulevard between San Vicente and La Cienega boulevards. The traffic control supports the construction of new curbs, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps and tree wells. Work may extend into night hours. Heavy equipment may be used until 9 p.m. on most nights.

On Saturdays, Sept. 6 and Sept. 13, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., eastbound Wilshire Boulevard will be closed between La Cienega Boulevard and Hamilton Drive. La Cienega Boulevard will also be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Gregory Way and Clifton Way. Left turns in the Wilshire/La Cienega intersection will be intermittently restricted, except eastbound Wilshire Boulevard to northbound La Cienega Boulevard. The traffic control supports utility work in the Wilshire/La Cienega intersection.

Ongoing construction also continues at the Beverly Drive Station, formerly the Wilshire/Rodeo station. The south sidewalk on Wilshire Boulevard between Cañon and Crescent drive is closed through Sept. 26 for underground construction. Wilshire Boulevard is reduced to two lanes in each direction, with phased sidewalk restrictions and pedestrian detours in place. Local access is maintained. Ferrari Beverly Hills customers can enter from the rear of the property, with valet parking available at the nearby Sixty Hotel.

Preparations are underway to remove deck panels near the Century City Station. Crews will restore Constellation Boulevard between Century Park East and Solar Way.
