The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority is working on the D Line subway extension project at many locations on Wilshire Boulevard.

Final repaving near Wilshire/Western will require a full closure of Wilshire Boulevard at Western Avenue from 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, through 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11. Local access will be maintained between Wilton Place and St. Andrews Place. Motorists are encouraged to use Crenshaw Boulevard and Western Avenue to Olympic Boulevard to bypass the closure.

Crews are also working on the station entrances and exits at the Wilshire/La Brea and Wilshire/Fairfax stations, and work may necessitate lane closures on Wilshire Boulevard. Street restoration is also ongoing at the Wilshire/La Cienega station. On Saturday, Aug. 9, from 6 a.m.-10 p.m., Eastbound Wilshire Boulevard will be closed between La Cienega Boulevard and Hamilton Drive. La Cienega Boulevard will also be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Gregory Way and Clifton Way. Left turns will be restricted in the Wilshire/La Cienega intersection, with the exception of eastbound Wilshire Boulevard to northbound La Cienega Boulevard. The traffic control supports utility work in the intersection.

A K-rail work zone in the curb lanes on the south side of Wilshire Boulevard will be in place for approximately four months between La Cienega and San Vicente boulevards. Curbs, sidewalks and pedestrian ramps are being installed in the area.

At the Wilshire/Rodeo station, K-rail enclosures will remain in place along the curb lanes on Wilshire Boulevard to support ongoing station construction and facilitate appendage construction in August. Through Sept. 26, the south sidewalk on Wilshire Boulevard between Cañon and Crescent drives will be closed for construction.

At the Century City/Constellation station, crews are preparing to remove deck panels and restore the street along Constellation Boulevard between Century Park East and Solar Way. Temporary traffic control will be in place through Aug. 15 to support LADWP water and power utility installation for the subway station. Traffic control will be implemented in five phases progressing from east to west. Following the deck removal, traffic control measures will be reestablished on Constellation Boulevard to support construction.
