In observance of Overdose Awareness Day, the West Hollywood Project and Safer WeHo Coalition will host a free community resource pop-up on Friday, Aug. 29, from 7-10 p.m. outside the Bank of America branch at 8921 Santa Monica Blvd.

The event features organizations dedicated to substance use prevention and risk reduction offering free resources such as prevention fact sheets, naloxone, fentanyl and xylazine test strips and safer sex kits. Free and confidential HIV/AIDS and STD testing is also available in the private AIDS Healthcare Foundation van.

The West Hollywood Project aims to collaborate with other health providers to offer services and assist those in need. The ongoing effort by the West Hollywood Project marks a commitment to the community to provide consistent, quarterly substance use education through an innovative and on-the-ground approach.
