A daguerreotype was the first publicly available photographic process, widely used during the 18402 and 1850s. Daguerreotype refers to an image created through the process.

 

That’s what they said about 35 mm single lens reflex cameras, digital cameras and now artificial intelligence imagery. Don’t be so sure.
