The LA Phil’s “Mexican Nights at The Ford” concert series culminates with Serenatas y Bodas de México, a magical night of music and folkloric dance led by Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company on Aug. 16 at 8 p.m. The unique performance brings to life the traditions, rituals and romance of weddings across different states of Mexico – each with its own cultural flavor and expression. The presentation includes a special choreographic collaboration with César Macíme and Teocalli Ballet Folklórico México.

Featuring more than 30 dancers, live mariachi music by Mariachi Tesoro de San Fernando and the premiere of a moving new piece honoring Oaxaca’s muses – the third gender recognized in Zapotec culture – the evening transports audiences to the heart of México.

The Ford is located at 2580 Cahuenga Blvd. East. For tickets, visit theford.com or call (323)850-2000.
