Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. announced the return of Pride on the Promenade, a signature highlight of the citywide SaMo Pride celebration, on Saturday, June 21, from 2-7 p.m. The free, all-ages block party spans all three blocks of Third Street Promenade, transforming the heart of Santa Monica into a bold and joyful celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, visibility and community.

The afternoon features a high-energy concert experience produced by JJLA and headlined by Vienna Vienna, along with additional standout LGBTQ+ musical acts throughout the day, including DJ Zeus, LA Cheer, Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Ángeles, Jenna Diamond, Bryce Xavier and Sofya Wang. The celebration also includes Pride-themed crafts, interactive art installations, face painting and photo ops with the iconic Pride-wrapped Big Blue Bus. The Santa Monica Public Library will host story time sessions for younger attendees. For the first time, Pride on the Promenade is part of Downtown Santa Monica’s newly activated Entertainment Zone, allowing guests age 21 and over to responsibly enjoy alcoholic beverages from participating Promenade businesses while strolling the Promenade and celebrating Pride.

The block party also includes a wide range of community organizations, faith groups and city departments sharing resources, offering giveaways and participating in activations. Participants include the city of Santa Monica Housing and Human Services, Santa Monica Travel and Tourism, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Carbon Health, Force Puissante Jewelry and Founders MCC Church.

Pride on the Promenade is a family and dog-friendly event, welcoming attendees of all ages, including four-legged companions, to join in the celebration. This year’s event is sponsored by L.A. County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, 3rd District, and the city of Santa Monica.

The stage will be located in the 1300 block of Third Street Promenade.
