The 20th Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival begins with an opening night gala on Thursday, June 26, at 7 p.m. at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills with “Midas Man,” the new film about Beatles manager Brian Epstein, written by Brigit Grant and directed by Joe Stephenson. The opening event has an “Abbey Road” red carpet for arrivals and will include celebrities, VIPs, reception, Q&A session and performance.

“Midas Man” is the story of Brian Epstein, a gay, Jewish maverick and his rollercoaster journey of ambition, passion and relentless pursuit of greatness. He was instrumental in The Beatles’ rise and worldwide success. The film stars Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Emily Watson, Eddie Marsan, Jay Leno, Suzy Eddie Izzard, and as the Beatles, Blake Richardson (Paul McCartney), Jonah Lees (John Lennon), Leo Harvey-Elledge (George Harrison), and Campbell Wallace (Ringo Starr).

Following the film, a Q&A session featuring Grant, Lees and Beatles historian Martin Lewis will be held.
