A 17-year-old person of interest was taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department following a shooting in West Hollywood on June 19.
“On Thursday, June 19, at approximately [2:38 p.m.,] a shooting occurred at Fountain Avenue and Spaulding Avenue in the city of West Hollywood,” West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station Sgt. Kevin Bowes said. “Witnesses heard several shots being fired in the area. Deputies found several shell casings in the area. A 17-year-old juvenile is being detained as a person of interest.”
It is unclear if anyone was injured in the shooting.
“No other victims or suspects have been located,” Bowes added. “The incident is still under investigation.”
