Head to a holiday ‘Garden Party’ in Culver City
The Culver Hotel invites Angelenos to indulge in summer fun with its new weekly Garden Party, launching Memorial Day Weekend and taking place every Saturday through Labor Day from 3-6 p.m. Set against the iconic backdrop of Culver City’s favorite hotel, this sun-drenched affair promises a chic blend of seasonal cocktails, gourmet bites, music and florals – the perfect weekend escape without leaving the city.
Guests can socialize and sip on refreshing summer spritzes, Kikori yuzu-spiked Arnold Palmers and playful punches crafted for sharing. Bite-sized canapés such as tuna on crispy rice, scallop crudo, coconut ceviche, avocado tartine and a sweet bite of green tea panna cotta will be artfully served in vintage birdcages. And, for those looking for a heartier meal, weekend brunch will also be available.
Patrons are encouraged to bring their furry friends, who can bask in the sun (or shade) while indulging in a selection of healthy “barcuterie” snacks, including fresh fruits and veggies, Gruyere cheese bites, a peanut butter dip and crunchy treats presented on an adorable wooden paw-print board.
Adding to the ambiance, a live DJ will spin feel-good tunes while The Floral Boutique hosts a pop-up flower bar offering bespoke bouquets to take home.

Luke’s brings a bite of Maine to Santa Monica
Lobster rolls are a summertime staple, and Luke’s Lobster, which originated in Maine, has a location in Santa Monica right by the beach. Each roll is served Luke’s way, where the meat is wild-caught, chilled seafood in a New England-style, split-top, toasted buttered bun with a swipe of mayo, a drizzle of lemon butter and a sprinkle of Luke’s Secret Seasoning. Rolls can be filled with lobster ($30), shrimp ($17) or Jonah crab ($22). A lobster roll flight ($42) includes a sampler of half-rolls with lemon butter, spicy honey butter and truffle butter with chips and a soft drink. Luke’s Lobster is located at 200 Santa Monica Blvd. For information, visit lukeslobster.com or call (424)298-2080.
Tam O’Shanter provides a wish upon a Disney star
Guests can now step into a piece of Hollywood and animation history with the launch of the Table 31 Experience at Tam O’Shanter, Los Angeles’ oldest restaurant operated by the same family in the same location. For the first time, diners can reserve Walt Disney’s favorite table and enjoy a curated, story-rich evening in the very seat where Disney and his Imagineers once gathered for countless meals and creative conversations.
Priced at $69 per person for lunch or $89 per person for dinner, the Table 31 Experience is available for parties of up to four and includes; a curated, exclusive menu featuring one of Walt’s favorite dishes unavailable on the regular menu; a personalized history session with Tam’s dedicated Table 31 ambassador, sharing captivating stories and lesser-known details of Walt’s time at the restaurant; and a take-home souvenir to commemorate the one-of-a-kind experience.
The menu includes deviled eggs, bacon-wrapped dates, Tam’s famous 1927-recipe chili, the 31 Burger, pan-roasted Scottish salmon and C.C. Brown’s hot fudge sundae, among other available items.
Guests may also choose to enhance the experience with Walt’s signature cocktail, the Scotch Mist made with Glenmorangie, soda, crushed ice and a lemon twist, for an additional $16.
In the 1920s and ‘30s, the Disney Studio sat just a short drive away on Hyperion Avenue. Tam O’Shanter quickly became a second home for Walt and his team, earning the nickname “The Disney Studio Commissary.” Now, nearly a century later, guests can experience that same camaraderie, nostalgia and storytelling spirit at the very table where it all began.
Reservations for the Table 31 Experience are limited and can be made via OpenTable for lunch and dinner reservations or by visiting lawrysonline.com/tam-o-shanter. Tam O’Shanter is located at 2980 Los Feliz Blvd. or call (323)664-0228.
