In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, student leaders from Beverly Hills High School’s Korean Culture Club and Chinese Culture Club were recognized during the city of Beverly Hills’ Moment of Unity at the May 20 City Council meeting.
The new initiative, introduced by Mayor Sharona Nazarian, honors local efforts that build unity across the Beverly Hills community. As part of the recognition, club leaders from BHHS were invited to speak at the podium, sharing how the student organizations foster cultural appreciation and connection on campus.
“We deeply value our ongoing partnership with the city of Beverly Hills,” BHUSD Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss said.
The Korean Culture Club and Chinese Culture Club at BHHS host cultural events, awareness campaigns and educational programming that highlight heritage, promote cross-cultural understanding and cultivate belonging for all students.
