The city of Beverly Hills held an Arbor Day celebration on Friday, April 25, at Roxbury Memorial Park. Mayor Sharona Nazarian, Urban Forest Bureau staff, CalFire representatives and the Beverly Hills community helped plant a coast live oak tree in the park.
The city of Beverly Hills has been a Tree City USA award recipient for 41 consecutive years. Significant factors in Beverly Hills’ ability to receive the prestigious award each year include an annual Arbor Day program, the Street Tree Master Plan, a well-managed tree care program and a commitment to responsible environmental efforts.
