The city of West Hollywood will host “Safeguarding Our Rights – The First 100 Days, a Town Hall & Resource Fair.” During its first 100 days in office, the Trump Administration has worked to dismantle programs and eliminate funding that supports some of the most vulnerable members of the community. The “Town Hall & Resource Fair” will bring together leading advocacy organizations to discuss the immediate and ongoing impacts of actions taken by the new administration, particularly those actions affecting LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, women and marginalized communities.

“Safeguarding Our Rights – The First 100 Days” will take place on Tuesday, April 29, from 6:30-9 p.m. at West Hollywood’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room, located at 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. Attendance is free. To RSVP in advance, use the Eventbrite link posted at go.weho.org/townhall. The event will begin with a resource fair at 6:30 p.m., which will offer attendees the opportunity to connect directly with organizations to access tools and information to support advocacy efforts. At 7 p.m., a program and panel discussion will feature representatives from key partner organizations who will speak to the challenges ahead and the power of collective action. At 8:30 p.m., there will be a Q&A.

Participating organizations include ACLU Southern California, APLA Health, CHIRLA, Equality California, Los Angeles LGBT Center, Planned Parenthood, and TransLatin@ Coalition.
