The UCLA School of Law Williams Institute’s 2025 annual gala is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, at the 1 Hotel in West Hollywood. This year’s gala is dedicated to the power of research in addressing the most pressing issues facing LGBTQ+ communities. It will also honor some of the remarkable individuals who champion the work, including Niecy Nash-Betts (Visionary Leadership Award), Admiral Rachel Levine (Impact Award) and Selendy Gay PLLC (Corporate Ally Award). Jessica Betts will perform.
The research is more urgent than ever as the country grapples with and responds to the onslaught of federal policies and state laws that attempt to erase LGBTQ+ communities. Each guest’s presence will make the event truly extraordinary, and their support will directly benefit the essential work of the Williams Institute, helping to make sure its research continues to address current issues and positively impacts LGBTQ+ communities.
The rapidly changing U.S. policy landscape requires research that meets the moment. For nearly 25 years, the Williams Institute has provided valuable insights that empowers policymakers, lawyers, judges and the public with facts about LGBTQ+ communities, which is more important now than ever.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. A gourmet seated dinner and program will start at 7 p.m. For information and to register, visit law.ucla.edu/events/williams-institute-legacy-gala.
