This April, Tam O’Shanter is rallying behind AbilityFirst with a special fundraising initiative to help individuals with disabilities rebuild their lives. A portion of the funds raised by guests throughout the month will directly support AbilityFirst and its mission to empower people with disabilities to achieve their personal best.
This year’s efforts take on even greater significance as the campaign will provide critical aid to 25 members of the AbilityFirst community – including both staff and participants – who lost their homes in the devastating Eaton Fire. As these members of the community work to regain stability, AbilityFirst remains a pillar of support, and Tam O’Shanter is committed to helping ensure they have the resources needed to rebuild.
To thank guests for their generosity, Tam O’Shanter is offering exclusive perks through its VIP Rewards program. For every $10 donation (up to $50), VIP Rewards members will receive a $25 bonus reward to use at any Lawry’s restaurant. Non-members who donate at least $10 and sign up for the program will also receive the $25 reward. Tam O’Shanter will match donations and provide up to $125 in rewards for guests who contribute a maximum of five $10 donations.
Lawry’s has a nearly century-long history of supporting AbilityFirst. In 1926, Lawrence L. Frank, co-founder of Lawry’s Restaurants, established the Crippled Children’s Society of Southern California – now known as AbilityFirst – to help children and adults with developmental disabilities reach their full potential.
“My great-grandfather started this incredible organization nearly 100 years ago, and I’m honored that we can continue his legacy by supporting AbilityFirst today,” said Ryan O’Melveney Wilson, CEO of Lawry’s Restaurants Inc. “The Eaton Fire has deeply impacted AbilityFirst members, and we’re committed to helping them recover and rebuild.”
