All Saints’ Beverly Hills invites the community to a celebration of Palm Sunday on April 13, marking the beginning of Holy Week. The special service will take place at 10 a.m. after a festive party on the church’s patio with music and refreshments. 

Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where crowds waved palm branches and hailed him as their king. At All Saints’ Beverly Hills, the morning begins at 9 a.m. with music, food and the making of palm crosses. Community members follow the choral procession into the church for the narrative of the passion and sung eucharist worship at 10 a.m. The reflective worship service ends in solemn silence that sets the tone for Holy Week. 

Throughout the week, All Saints’ will hold events to honor the journey of Jesus to the cross and celebrate the resurrection on Easter Sunday. From contemplative gatherings to joyful celebrations, Holy Week at All Saints’ provides opportunities for spiritual growth and renewal. 

“The observance of Holy Week is a sacred time for Christians around the world,” the Reverend Canon Andrea McMillin said. “It is a time for us to reflect on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and rejoice in the hope of his resurrection. We invite everyone to join us as we journey together through this holiest of weeks.” 

All Saints’ will hold a Maundy Thursday Missa Mystica Service with holy eucharist and foot washing on April 17 at 7:30 p.m. A Good Friday Service with the veneration of the cross will be held on April 17 at 12:10 p.m. The Great Vigil of Easter will be held on Holy Saturday, April 19, at 8 p.m. The Easter Sunday celebration will be held on April 20, featuring festive services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt for children.
