The city of West Hollywood is launching the 2025 WeHo Reads series beginning with “Feminism and Fearlessness,” an online program on Wednesday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m.

WeHo Reads is West Hollywood’s literary series, presenting new, diverse and notable writers to the community since 2013. “Feminism and Fearlessness” is being held in conjunction with Women’s History Month, offering a literary reading and panel discussion exploring feminism and bold creative expression. Four writers – each with a unique voice and perspective – will discuss their artistic journeys, inspirations and how their work uplifts communities and advocates for social justice. The event will feature Katya Apekina, Olga García Echeverría, Angelina Sáenz and Kate Stayman-London.

The next event in the series is “WeHo Reads: Richard Blanco and Kim Dower” on Wednesday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m., online. Join an inspiring National Poetry Month discussion between two celebrated poets whose work explores the intersection of identity, culture and human connection. The event will feature Blanco and Dower in conversation and will open with a poem by current West Hollywood city poet laureate Jen Cheng. The dynamic exchange between two literary luminaries will offer insights into the transformative power of poetry and its ability to inspire personal and collective change.
