Runners in the Los Angeles Marathon passed by Third Street and Rossmore Avenue on a rainy Sunday 30 years ago in this photograph from the March 9, 1995, issue of the Beverly Press and Park Labrea News. Thousands of runners will return to the local area on Sunday, March 16, for the 2025 Los Angeles Marathon, which starts at 7 a.m. and follows a route from Dodger Stadium to Century City, with the finish line at Santa Monica Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars. Participants will head through Hollywood, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Numerous streets will be closed for the event and motorists are cautioned to plan ahead. The marathon also features a two-day Lifestyle Expo on March 14 from 10 a.m-7 p.m., and March 15 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Dodger Stadium.
