Beverly Hills High School announced that seniors Benjamin Bakshian, Tali Goldkorn, Andrew Smiler and Sarah Zhang have been named 2025 National Merit Scholarship finalists, a prestigious recognition awarded to top academic achievers across the country.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is one of the most distinguished academic competitions in the nation, recognizing students who have demonstrated exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, outstanding academic records and leadership in their school and community. As finalists, these students are among a select group representing the highest level of academic excellence.

“Being named a National Merit Finalist is an incredible achievement that reflects years of dedication, intellectual curiosity, and hard work,” BHHS Principal Drew Stewart said. “We are immensely proud of Benjamin, Tali, Andrew and Sarah for this well-earned honor and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future.”

The outstanding students now advance in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, which will be awarded in the coming months.
