To celebrate the 97th annual Academy Awards on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Pink’s Hot Dogs on La Brea Avenue is offering the Red Carpet Hot Dog topped with chili, cheese, mustard, chopped tomatoes and three strips of bacon. The special hot dog is on the menu through the awards ceremony broadcast and is priced at $9.70 in celebration of the Academy Awards’ 97th year, owner Richard Pink said.
The hot dog stand, which started as a push-cart in 1939, has long been part of Hollywood history and is a frequent stop for celebrities. Pink said it was natural to offer a hot dog to celebrate the Academy Awards, and he hung a new banner on the front of the stand to mark the occasion.
“We’ve rolled out the red hot carpet for this award-winning hot dog,” Pink said. “I introduced it to honor the Academy Awards and recognize all the hard work of the men and women of Hollywood. It’s a time to celebrate the best Hollywood films, and Pink’s is celebrating with the Red Carpet Hot Dog.”
Pink’s Hot Dogs is located at 709 N. La Brea Ave. For information, call (323)931-4223, or visit pinkshollywood.com.
