Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that severely injured a 29-year-old pedestrian.

On Dec. 22 around 2:35 a.m., a newer model white sedan was traveling northbound on Catalina Street approaching Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown when it struck a pedestrian crossing Catalina Street. The driver continued north and failed to stop, identify themselves or render aid as required by law.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and took the male victim to a hospital, where he is recovering.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a traffic collision, they must pull over and stop as soon as it is safe and notify emergency services. Rewards of up to $25,000 are available to individuals who provide information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of hit-and-run drivers.
