“The Heart Hand” sculpture is a tribute to love and unity, celebrating the admiration that both residents and visitors feel for the world-renowned city of Beverly Hills. It symbolizes Beverly Hills as a beacon of luxury, creativity and inclusivity, capturing the spirit of its cultural identity.
The work was commissioned by Jason Aftalion, who immediately envisioned Dr. Simon Ourian as the ideal artist to bring it to life. Together, they joined forces to create a landmark destined to resonate with the city’s legacy. The hand-heart gesture was chosen for its universal appeal, transcending language barriers, cultural boundaries and geographical divides. Within the context of Beverly Hills, it embodies the city’s welcoming nature and invites everyone to experience its charm, sophistication and timeless elegance.
This sculpture is designed to reflect the love, beauty and unity that define Beverly Hills. It will serve as a cultural and emotional touchstone for residents, visitors and workers alike – a place for celebration, reflection and connection. Ourian described Beverly Hills as more than a location – it is a global icon of beauty, elegance and the pursuit of excellence, perfectly captured in this monumental work of art.
The sculpture can be seen at two locations: across the street from the Beverly Hills sign in Beverly Gardens Park, at 9439 Santa Monica Blvd; and on the corner of the 9600 block of Sunset Boulevard and N. Crescent Drive.
